The unique Villa Lefkothea is found on the highest point of Kea's famous chora Ioulida, 350 metres above the sea, and affords spectacular views over the Chora Ioulida, and the deep blue of Aegean Sea. Located in a 200-year-old Estate, above the traditional village of Ioulida on Kea Island, Greece, just a breath away from Athens, only one and a half hour, from the Athens International Airport

 

Villa Lefkothea, has been beautifully renovated with traditional in mind, to cover the needs of families, or friends, accommodating up to10 guests in two levels. On the ground level, there are two independent sleeping areas with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. 

Next, there is the villa’s kitchen, an old cellar, that has in fact been transformed into a fully equipped kitchen with modern facilities, a large wooden dining table and all the equipment required to prepare a perfect home cooked meal.

On the first floor, you will find a comfortable master bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, spacious living, opens out onto the unique terrace with its combination of complete privacy and breathtaking views of the Keas Chora of Ioulida. Here you will find the picturesque chapel of Taksiarches, built in 1830 as a protector of the family. Up to this day and for over four generations, weddings and christenings are held in this chapel in an inspiring environment full of memories!

We found a ruined house in the Old Town and turned it into a hotel. While restoring it, we fell in love with the house, its history and its people.

We respected its character and peculiarities: the creeks of the wooden floor boards, the smell of the lime plaster, the roughness of its stones. We took care of the ageing mulberry tree in the garden and planted herbs, which the housewives who once lived here used.
