La Ghiaia Estate welcomes its Guests with a huge gate and a driveway,
lined with flowers and aromatic herbs, which leads to the owners’ villa.
Surrounding the villa, vineyards and olive groves from which we produce, according to a strict organic growing system, wines and oils offered to travelers within the magnificent wine cellar oroutdoor tents, equipped with comfortable sofas and chairs. La remise en forme or simple moments of relax can be enjoyed inside the gym, with its modern equipment, or on the jogging track that borders the entire perimeter of the property.
Estate La Ghiaia is the
ideal location to arrange weddings and business events: merged in an
amazing setting where silence reigns, far from traffic but close to the
center of Sarzana and a 10-minute drive from the A12 Motorway.
Sarzana is situated at the end of
the Magra valley, not far from the estuary of the river in a relatively
flat area in the east part of the river, called the Plain of Sarzana.
The city lies at the foot of the hill Sarzanello, about 150 meters on
the sea level. La Ghiaia Estate is located 6 km far from the sea.
Throughout the year La Ghiaia hosts parties and events: depending on the season and weather conditions,different and distintive spaces are available, within the Estate and outside of its buildings. During the summer the cozy garden and the wide courtyard are enchanting places for weddings, private parties and business dinners while the inner rooms are ideal for banquets in front of the large fireplace.
The breadth and variety of indoor and outdoor
spaces allow you to create different and original settings according to
the demands and needs of the wedding couples and their guests.
In our winery we follow different techniques of wine making in order to probe, also from the oenological point of view, what are the potentialities of the territory where the farm is set. Therefore we have classical vinification for consolidated red and white wines and innovative winemaking processes of research: fermentative maceration of white grapes (Vermentino), with the exclusive use of indigenous yeasts, conducted both in stainless steel containers and in terracotta jars, researching in these wines the most intimate and natural origin of the territory.
